Davids funeral will be at 12pm on 20th December at Boxgrove Parish Church.
Please pass on to members who are not on the internet.
It is with regret that I have to write of the sad passing of David who has been a loyal Member of the Double LL Club for many years now, Val and myself first met David and Rose at a Rally where Rose was trying to stitch the head lining of his beloved Morris 8 owing to a mouse that thought it was a good idea to live in the car, however after a few years the head lining was replaced, the Mouse had gone !! and the car was looking better sporting it’s new look.
David was an old school Mechanic working with cars for many years, also a qualified MOT tester, but owing to failing health he found it hard to maintain the Morris, but his Son-in-law Peter looked after the car for him and David would drive the car to all of the Rally’ s that he could get to and living near Chichester meant David would sometimes have to drive a fair few miles to get to a rally, no mean feat for the car and David, as over the last few years he was finding it more difficult to get around, but he did winning many trophies over the years, at the AGM he always went home with some award.
We will miss his long chats on the rally field where he would get himself around and pass on a few tips to others.
So rest in peace David old friend.
