Looking back here at The Double LL Rally which was then held in Horndean, I seem to remember that alot of these rallies over the years in Horndean were wet or very wet. But as you can see from some of the double llers we all kept smiling..

We have received the following message from Peter Redman who is a Double LL member and for many years exhibited his Trojan car at events. This is his latest book which has just come out.

The Annual Classic Vehicle Show and Autojumble
At Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Gravel Hill, Horndean, Waterlooville. PO8 0QE 3 miles South Of Petersfield on the A3
on Sunday 2nd June 2013 10.00am – 4.00pm
South Hants Vehicle Preservation Society’s Annual Classic Vehicle Show and popular Autojumble. Easy access and free public car parking on site. This is a family day out with something to interest everyone. Over 300 Cars, Commercials, Motorcycles and Military vehicles of all shapes, sizes and makes dating from the early 1900’s to 1988. Full refreshment and varied catering facilities, Licensed Bar, Live band, Punch and Judy plus other Children’s entertainment, Toilets and First Aid facilities. Over 160 Autojumble stalls selling vehicle parts and accessories of all ages, as well as some general stalls and garden plants etc. A memorable day out for all the family whatever your interest. Why not come along and browse the stalls, view the vehicles, talk to the club members or just soak up the atmosphere in the superb surroundings.

We have another new date for your diary, The Dene Rally which will be held on 22nd & 23rd June at Bighton Hill, Ropley. Hampshire SO24 9SQ. This is next to the Watercress line. It will open to the public 10am both days so you will need to be on site by 10am.
This event is only in its second year and last year they had a wet weekend but it was a nice event (one of our members attend with their steam engine). There is plenty of room for camping and they are all a friendly bunch.
